First Post.

This is where it begins. I have had a longing for some time to be a part of the blogging community, so here I am. I believe this to be a spot in which I can share ideas and thoughts on the events and things that inspire me, bringing inspiration and creativity into my own life.

I picked out a movie from the 5 buck bin tonight while shopping for the items that were needed for my future road trip. It was titled "Fur." I couldn't imagine it to be the best movie I would ever see, considering it was demoted to the unorganized bin of cheap DVDs. I decided I had nothing better to do and invested in it. The movie was weird, unexpectedly weird, but oddly interesting. The movie is based on the artist Diane Arbus. The story told is not reality, but more like an inner imagination of what she was seeing through the lens of her camera. Her photographs capture the physical and/or psychological abnormal beings and her attraction towards them.

"...Freaks was a thing I photographed a lot. It was one of the first things I photographed and it had a terrific kind of excitement  for me. I just used to adore them. I still do adore some of them. I don't quite mean they're my best friends but they made me feel a mixture of shame and awe. There's a quality of legend about freaks. Like a person in a fairy tale who stops you and demands that you answer a riddle. Most people go through life dreading they'll have a traumatic experience. Freaks were born with their trauma. They've already passed their test in life. They're aristocrats..."  -Diane Arbus
